Familiar Unfamiliarity: Isle Of Man

I’ve never been to the Isle of Man before. Earlier this year, the opportunity arose to photograph the wedding of a good friend’s Daughter, at Peel Cathedral & stay with their family.

If you’ve been to Cornwall, Scotland or parts of Ireland before, the Isle of Man will feel faintly familiar, like you’ve been there before. But I think that’s more about appearance. It looks a bit like parts of those places. It’s very definitely it’s own unique place and the people there couldn’t be more welcoming.

Many thanks to Patricia & Richard for letting me live in their house for 4 days & especially for the walks & veggie food, & to Phil, Jess & Ed, for introducing me to all their friends, which seems to be at least ¾ of the island.
