A Hunger Artist

A commission to produce original artwork for the poster and other promotional & marketing material for the Leeds Arts Centre theatre production of the Franz Kafka play, A Hunger Artist, directed by Carrianne Vivianette and featuring Henry Petch as the Hunger Artist.

There was a time when crowds would gather, day after day, night after night, to watch a man starve.

The Hunger Artist drew audiences from all around.

Whatever the light, at any hour, he was quite happy at the prospect of spending a sleepless night with such watchers.

But as the crowds thin, the Hunger Artist is still driven to perform.

For art.

For spectacle.
