Passing Time
Last weekend, I was taking my daughter over to see the Humber Bridge. Admittedly, it’s probably not that high on most 9 year old girls ‘Dream days out’ list, but she’s into engineering and science, so we thought we’d have a look at a big suspension bridge. Unfortunately one of my front tyres had a different plan for the day & blew out on the M62, so the science & engineering field trip turned into a lesson on how to change a wheel at the side of the road.
The following day was spent wandering around York, passing time, while Kwik Fit ( I can’t even begin to tell you the pain and anguish that spelling causes me! ) replaced the front tyres & as an added bonus, the Track Rod ends. It’s liberating, just walking with no purpose other than to pass time. Had the car not been in the garage, I’d have felt guilty for wandering so aimlessly for a few hours. Even with the good excuse for being there, I felt that I should be using the time more productively.
I took some photographs. Nothing that really had any intention behind it, I just photographed what I liked. I’ve recently bought a couple of new lenses & I really wanted to give the 21mm a bit of a test, so that was on for most of the day.
Here’s 3 hours of aimless wandering and trying not to take a single touristy photograph in York.
